Obituary of Marie J. Palumbo

Marie Josephine Palumbo, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Daniel L. Palumbo, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 92. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Lucy Pinto. After graduating Central High School, Marie worked as a book keeper at Dictaphone until her son was born. Once her children were grown, Marie went back to work as a credit manager at Kay's Department Store until she moved to Florida, where she and her husband retired. Marie returned to Trumbull after her husband passed, where she devoted time to help raise her cherished grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her two children, Daniel L. Palumbo and his wife Dawn of Newport News, VA, and Debra Palumbo of Trumbull, her six grandchildren, Heather, Michael, and Daniel Zeman, and Rosie, Anna, and Tony Palumbo, her adored great grandchild, Avery, and her sister Jean Ciambriello and husband Andy of Bridgeport, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Daniel, she is predeceased by her brother, Dr. Frank Pinto.

Marie loved doing crossword puzzles, singing and dancing, baking the best apple pie ever, and, most of all, spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her unconditional love.

All funeral services will be private.
