Obituary of Scott J. Larkin

Scott James Larkin, age 46, of Trumbull, loving husband of Lisa Cody Larkin, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2018 surrounded by his devoted family. Born in Queens, New York on December 11, 1971, he was the youngest son of the late Eugene and Joan Larkin.

Scott was raised in North Bellmore, NY and graduated from Chaminade High School and Fairfield University. During his time at Fairfield, Scott was able to enjoy his love of baseball by pitching for the Fairfield U baseball team. He also made lifelong friends at Fairfield with whom he shared much laughter and many memories. Scott's affable personality and cheerful disposition made him a natural for a successful career in sales most recently as Vice President of Division Sales for Medline Industries.

Scott's greatest love in life was his family. His joy came straight from his time with family-vacations, summers in NJ and Newport, or just hanging out at the field. Scott created a home filled with warmth, love, laughter, and special memories for Lisa, Julia, Jack, and Ryan that will live in their hearts forever. Scott was his children's greatest champion and #1 fan, he was devoted to them and always present at their sporting and school events. The pride he felt for his children was evident to anyone who saw him standing on the sideline. He will be remembered by his smiling face, quick wit, huge heart, and contagious laugh.

In addition to his devoted wife, Lisa, and his three cherished children, Julia, Jack and Ryan, he is survived by two brothers, Gary Larkin and his wife Debbi of Huntington, NY and Gene Larkin of MN, his brother-in-law Michael Cody and his wife Crina of Fairfield, and sister-in-law Christine Cody of Black Rock, nieces and nephews, Haley, Aidan, Peyton, Kelly, Geno, Corinne, and Calvin as well as aunts , uncles, cousins, and many friends and colleagues. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, William F. and Marty Lanese Cody.
