Obituary of Richard Loren Taylor, Jr.

Richard Loren Taylor Jr., a lifetime resident of Trumbull, Connecticut passed away Thursday, surrounded by those who loved him.  Richie succumbed to an illness that he had been valiantly fighting for the past four years.

Richie leaves behind his partner in life, his wife Evelyn and his two most precious sons Alexander R. and Zachary D.  His brothers, Kevin Taylor and James Taylor will miss him terribly.

A true family man, Richie was happiest when he was with his loved ones. Whether it be vacationing, or cheering from the sidelines during his son’s lacrosse games; he cherished those times the most.

His parents Richard and Mary Taylor, both deceased, were longtime residents of Trumbull and are now ready at Heaven’s Gate to greet their eldest son.

Richie worked for most of his career at the Connecticut Post spending 39 years in the pressroom.  His most recent job was working with the City of Bridgeport.

Friends and family are welcome to pay tribute to Richie’s life and comfort his family by attending the wake at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, Connecticut on Monday January, 15, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm and for a Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave, Trumbull, Connecticut on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. During his treatment Richie was truly touched by the children that suffered with this similar illness. Through your donation, his legacy will live on even if one child can helped.
