Obituary of Patricia A. Petrucelli
Patricia ("Pat" "Patti") Ann Petrucelli, age 66, a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Born on January 15, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Patsy and Sadie Matera Petrucelli and the beloved fiancé of the late Stewart Bograd. She was also predeceased by her brother, Joseph Petrucelli.
Pat graduated from Central High School, Bridgeport, as well as Butler Business School, American Institute of Banking, and Sacred Heart University. Pat began her career in banking, spending many years at People's Bank. She was a real estate agent and worked part-time teaching evening Adult Education classes through the City of Bridgeport Board of Education. Pat recently retired as a Care Coordinator for Family Care Plus of Stratford. Pat was a faithful and dedicated parishioner at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Fairfield where she regularly lectured and served as Eucharistic Minister. She loved traveling with her friends, sharing special times with her relatives, and led a life full of laughter and adventures. Pat was known for her love of children, especially babies, and was a constant support and champion to all those who were blessed to know her. She will be terribly missed.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mary Petrucelli of Long Island, her goddaughter, Pamela Giammatteo of Trumbull, her close cousins, Ann Izzo and Dolly Coon, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and very close friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
