Obituary of Michael J. Borucki

Michael J. Borucki, age 47, beloved husband of Kristine Wilson Borucki of Trumbull, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford with his family and close friends by his side. Born in Bridgeport on February 15, 1970, he was the son of Joseph M. Borucki, Sr. of FL and Rosanne P. Striebe Borucki of Bridgeport.

Mike fought a long and courageous battle with cancer for four years. He had a true fighter's spirit. Mike was a graduate of Trumbull High School, class of 1988 and the Trumbull Police Academy class of 1996. He was a police officer with the Trumbull Police Dept. with over 22 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed motocross, riding dirt bikes and working on old cars. Mike was so proud that his sons shared in his passion and found comfort in knowing that his legacy will be carried on. He was family oriented, a great father and loving husband. His lightheartedness and comical sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents and his loving wife, Kristine of 23 years, survivors include two cherished sons, James Michael Borucki and Steven David Borucki, a sister, Lori Rose King of Trumbull, a brother, Joseph Michael Borucki, Jr. of Trumbull, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Lois Wilson of Trumbull, and a sister-in-law, Debbie Wright of Seymour as well as seven nieces and nephews, Chelsea and Peyton King, Alannah Borucki, Christina Rodrigues, Joey Borucki III, Tom and Dan Wright. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the doctors and staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital, Dr. Goldberg's office, his nurses; Georgia Kay and Jackie Wake, all the wonderful staff at Connecticut Hospice, Chief Michael Lombardo, Retired Chief Thomas Kiely, as well as the entire Trumbull Police Department, and the many family and friends who provided so much love and support.

A celebration of Mike's life will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Borucki Family Trust for the children's education, c/o The Trumbull Police Department, 158 Edison Rd., Trumbull, CT 06611.
