Obituary of Ada F. Wells

Ada F. Leslie Wells, age 93, of Trumbull and previously, College Point, NY, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late William S. Wells. Born in New York, NY on December 29, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Florence Schmitt Leslie. An alumna of Hunter College and Columbia University, she was a teacher at P.S. 29 in College Point for more than 20 years. Survivors include her loving daughters, Sandra Lynch and her husband Jerome of Trumbull and Joyce Wilson and her husband Thomas of Chatham, NJ, six cherished grandchildren, Ryan Lynch, Annie Laurie Lynch, Charlotte Dunn, Jennifer Bennett, James Wilson and Molly Wilson and great granddaughter, Madeleine Dunn. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Center for Geriatrics in Stratford and the visiting nurses of Trumbull Hospice at Home for their compassion and dedication. A funeral service will take place on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 9 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Pinelawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
