Obituary of William Leo Walsh

William Leo Walsh, age 84, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at St. Joseph's Center, Trumbull. Born in Bridgeport on January 9, 1933, He was a son of the late Edward and Rose Walsh. Bill was a 1950 graduate of Fairfield College Preparatory School, and retired from Remington Arms with 22 years of service as a machinist. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the Rhode Island Veteran's Council, life member of the Pawtucket American Veteran's Post 33. Bill lived in Rhode Island for a period and was an active volunteer in his community. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially baseball, loved camping, playing golf and attending sports events and listening to music.

Above all his enjoyments and hobbies in life, Bill was a dedicated father and loving grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include two loving children, a daughter, Carolyn Walsh and a son, William Walsh and his wife Melissa, a grandson, David Walsh, a great grandson, Devin Walsh, sister, Rosemary Cronk, two brothers, John and James Walsh, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Edward Walsh.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in the Connecticut State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown. Relatives and friends can greet the family on Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m.
