Obituary of Guido Salvatore

Guido Salvatore, age 92, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Lina Ventresca Salvatore, passed away at his home on Friday, October 13, 2017, surrounded by his family. Born in Introdacqua, Province of Aquila, Italy, he was a son of the late Feliciano and Theresa D'Amato Salvatore and was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport since coming to the United States in 1955. Before his retirement, Mr. Salvatore was a carpenter for E& F Construction Company with over 35 years of service. In addition to being an active member of the Abruzzi Club he enjoyed gardening, making wine and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife, Lina of 63 years, survivors include two sons, Carlo Salvatore and his wife Patricia of Shelton and Antonio Salvatore of Trumbull, a brother, Giovanni Salvatore and his wife Laura of Revere, MA and four grandsons, Nicholas, Anthony, Richard and Joseph Salvatore. He was predeceased by a brother, Francesco DiSalvatore and a brother-in-law, Giulio Ventresca. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4-8 pm. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
