Obituary of Frank Yannelli
Frank Yannelli, age 91, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 1, 2017 after many years of suffering from Parkinson's disease in his home surrounded by love. Frank was born on August 17, 1926 in Stamford, a son of the late Frank Yannelli and the late Josephine (Bartolommeo) Yannelli.
He resided in Stratford for many years and then moved to Monroe and back to Stratford in recent years. Frank worked at IBM in New York City then later to Columbia Records in Bridgeport, where he met his forever love, Phyllis Fazio whom he was married to for 63 years. He later began working at Manning Maxwell and Moore and several years later became a very successful self-employed carpenter. Frank loved his wife dearly and was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. Frank was very active in his church, St. Jude's Parish in Monroe where he was Trustee, worked with many parishioners with the building and grounds committee and also was very involved with the St. Jude fair. Frank was a World War II Army Veteran and served from November 2, 1944 to August 5, 1946. Frank loved his family, close friends and delicious homemade Italian dinners. He will be fondly remembered by his stories and many tall tales.
He is pre-deceased by his wife, Phyllis and his daughter, Andrea. Frank leaves behind his loving and devoted daughter, Donna Booker and her husband Walter, his devoted brother-in-law, Tony Fazio and his wife Arlene, his grandson, Jack Branco and his wife Nicole, their children, Heather and her daughter Harmony, Jack and Carrie, his granddaughter, Melissa Booker and her husband Jason, their 3 children, Isaiah, Nevaeh and Jay-Jay, his granddaughter, Heather Lucibello and her husband Matthew and their two daughters, Sophie and Mila. His church family who always supported him with love, St. Jude parish for continued understanding and love, Daria for blessing him every Thursday and giving him that one special day of the week, Monsignor Sabia for all his prayers and love, Father Skip from Blessed Sacrament for his love and compassion and his loving care givers Maria, Juanita, Carolina and Maria G. who made every day a special day.
