Obituary of William H. Tiesler

William (Bill) H. Tiesler, age 75, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Audrey Flockhart Tiesler, passed away after a long courageous battle on Monday, September 18, 2017. Born on April 30, 1942 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Adolph E. and Elizabeth Buckhout Tiesler. A U.S. Army veteran, Bill was a graduate of Boston University. He had a long and successful career as a commodities trader and was formerly employed by Pechiney World Trade of Greenwich.

Affectionately referred to as "Pop", Bill's greatest times were spent with his grandson Jacob. His smile could light up a room every time Jacob was around. He was a loving and selfless man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed time spent with his family creating memories that would last a lifetime. The unconditional love he gave will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and love him.

In addition to his beloved wife Audrey, of 35 years, survivors include two loving children, Selina Conklin and her husband Joshua of Trumbull and Paul Tiesler and his wife Sophie of South Norwalk, his cherished and adored grandson, Jacob William Conklin, a sister, Elizabeth (Bea) Barber and her husband Russell of New York, as well as several cousins and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward Tiesler.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Trumbull Congregational Church, 3115 Reservoir Ave, Trumbull with the Reverend Timothy Hare presiding. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
