Born and raised in New Britain, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ceil (Jezewski) Albino, and was a Southington resident over 40 years. He was a former employee of Fafnir Bearing Company. Sandy was an avid fan of all sports, but was especially dedicated to his New York Yankees and UCONN men's and women's basketball teams. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, he will be dearly missed by all.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 49 years, Sofia Cammarata Albino of Southington; his son, Joseph Albino of Southington, his daughter, Laura Abriola and her husband James of Trumbull, four cherished grandchildren, Rachel, Christina and Vincent Abriola and Luca Albino, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Joseph C. Albino.
