Obituary of David P. Schneider

David P. Schneider, age 81 of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Theresa Colello Schneider, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 11, 2017 with his family by his side. Born on September 21, 1935 in Danbury, he was a son of the late Andrew August and Kathryn Elizabeth Torpey Schneider. Prior to his retirement, David was a bricklayer for over 45 years, as well as a driver with Hoffman Fuel. He was an avid New York Giants fan, who also enjoyed bowling in his younger years and taking his grandkids out on his boat. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife Theresa of 61 years, he is survived by three children, Linda Bocchino and her husband Sam of Shelton, David Schneider and his wife Shelley of Milford, and Paul Schneider and his wife Julie of Stratford; nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. David was predeceased by brothers, Andrew and William Schneider.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the countless caregivers who aided in David's care over the last three years.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Friday morning from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
