Obituary of Mareta B. Fagan

Mareta Brennan Fagan, age 83, of Woodbridge and formerly of Trumbull CT and Trenton NJ, beloved wife of Edward C. Fagan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 25, 1934 in Trenton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Marguerite (Collins) Brennan. She was a graduate of Trenton State Teachers College, Trenton NJ. Upon graduation she taught 6th grade at Lawrenceville Elementary School in Lawrenceville NJ.

 

Mareta was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her husband of 58 years, Edward, she is survived by her loving children, Edward G. Fagan (Gary Wellbrock) of Trenton, NJ, Mark E. Fagan (Paul Templeton) of Orange CT, Eileen F. (William) Rickel of Woodbridge CT, Daniel P. (Michele) Fagan of Monroe CT, Brian C. Fagan (Frank Alberino) of Derby CT, Bradford T. (Teresa) Heines of Shelton CT and 10 cherished grandchildren, Victoria and Richard Fagan, Mareta H. (Angelo) Arena, Sarah Heines, Nicholas and Benjamin Rickel, and Sophia, Daniel, Amanda and Hannah Fagan; brother-in-law, Rudolph M. Girandola, sister-in-law, Virginia Vereb, both of New Jersey, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Valeria B. Girandola.

 

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Rd., Woodbridge, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in East Side Burial Grounds, Woodbridge. Relatives and friends can greet the family on Monday from 4 – 8 p.m.
