Obituary of Alice Patronelli

Alice Tomasini Patronelli, age 79, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Joseph Patronelli, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on November 19, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Goryo (Chick) and Lillian DeFeo Tomasini. Affectionately known as the "Lunch Lady", she worked for many years at Barnum School and was devoted to the children and their needs. She worked in many capacities at Barnum School; as a member of the PTA and many other committees. Mrs. Patronelli went on to work as a nutritionist for the City of Bridgeport, Board of Education Nutrition Center. She enjoyed her career and truly loved helping all of the children. Alice was a devoted parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, where she volunteered on the festival committees and was a member of the St. Theresa Guild. She enjoyed old time movies and was an animal lover. But above all of these things in life, she was a devoted wife and mother. Alice put the needs of her family above all things in life. The unconditional love she gave will always live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. In addition to her beloved husband of 57 years, Joseph, survivors include three loving children, Ralph J. Patronelli and his wife Eileen of Beacon Falls, Angela Patronelli of Bridgeport and Gary Patronelli and his wife Jennifer of Shelton, a brother, Thomas Tomasini and his wife Lorraine of Southport, brother-in-law, Russell Patronelli and his wife Joanne of Trumbull and was Big Nana to Ralph and Eileen's granddaughter, Michaeileen Perssico. She was predeceased by her grandson, Joseph Michael and her sister, Donna Previs. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
