Obituary of Muriel M. Donahue

Muriel M. Dreher Donahue, age 92, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late William E. Donahue, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice of Branford, with her loving family by her side. Born on October 3, 1924 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Walter F. and Nora English Dreher. A retired employee of St. Vincent's Medical Center for over 30 years, Muriel took great pride in her work and enjoyed helping others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Muriel was predeceased by her two sons, Donald Donahue and Kevin Donahue, Sr. Survivors include her three loving daughters, Kathleen Edwards and her husband James of Bridgeport, Terese Bilyard of Fairfield, and Maureen Hurd and her husband Ralph of Seymour; five grandchildren, Kevin J. Donahue, Jr. and his wife Dawn, Jeff Donahue, Kimberly Rydelek and her husband Greg, Audra Vitti and her husband Jeff, and Keith Donahue; nine great grandchildren, Kevin, Griffin, Kara, Alex, Ethan, Emmett, Joshua, Felicia, and Alexa; a sister Beverly Sullivan of Bridgeport; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
