Obituary of Betty Guliuzza

Betty Fiorillo Guliuzza, age 79, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2017, with her loving daughter and son in law by her side. Born in Shelton on January 12, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Onofrio Fiorillo. Betty spent many years working in retail management. After retiring, she helped raise her three wonderful grandsons. Her most enjoyable times were spent with her beloved grandchildren. An exceptional mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be missed by all. Survivors include her loving daughter Linda and her husband Robert Von Stein of Trumbull, her son, Theophilus Guliuzza of New Haven, cherished grandchildren Robert, Michael and Scott Von Stein and Andrea Bauchman, her sister, Joanne Elliott and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her brothers Mark and August (Chick) Fiorillo and sister Mary Jane Urban. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Betty's life will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 424 Coram Ave, Shelton. At Betty's request, there will be no calling hours. At the request of the family, entombment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
