Obituary of Mary Giliotti

Maryzita Giliotti, age 70, beloved wife of Julius Giliotti of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born on November 3, 1946 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late John "Yank" Evanski and Dolores Cooney. Before her retirement, Mary worked for many years at Treeland Garden Center of Bridgeport. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and shopping. Above all, Mary cherished the time spent with her family and friends -- especially around the holidays. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband Julius of 52 years, Mary is survived by her children, Brenda Migliaccio and her husband Miggy of Mahwah, NJ, and John Giliotti and his wife Rachel of Shelton; grandchildren Mia, Rocco, Isabella, and Joseph; and sisters Carol Martin and her husband Steve of Shelton, Clare Cooney of Stratford, and Kathy Lombard and her husband John of Stratford; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Dolores Murray; and her brother-in-law John Murray. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Lawrence Church, Shelton. Inurnment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends can greet the family on Thursday morning from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
