Obituary of Theresa M. Anastasia

Theresa M. Senese Anastasia, age 83, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Peter S. Anastasia, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She is now reunited with her son John and husband Peter. Born in Norwalk on March 10, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Carmella Bruno Senese. Her most treasured moments in life were when she was spending time with her family. Theresa enjoyed the simple things in life, the outdoors, nature and long rides on a sunny day. She was a generous and loving person and will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include three daughters, Terry Merrifield and her husband Jim of Fairfield, Gina Lacerenza and her husband Lou of Fairfield and Ida Oster and her husband Richard of Trumbull, eight grandchildren, Jimmy and his wife Dana, Kimberly, Michael, Erica, Peter, Ricky and his wife Rachel, Jessica and her husband Roberto and Ashley, and two great grandchildren, Lucy June and Jack Jones as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Agnes Arena. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
