Obituary of Vera Hird

Bridgeport Resident Vera Cordone Hird, age 89, of Bridgeport, a homemaker, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on April 23, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Philomena Amore Cordone. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Harry I. Hird, five brothers and one sister. She will be greatly missed by her sister, Margaret Tucci of Shelton, loving niece, JoMarie Coster and her husband, Art, nephew, Eugene Tucci and his wife, Leslie, niece, Carol Ann Leslie, great nephews, Jeffrey, Gregory and Jeremy Coster and Frank Huelsman. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 9:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends and relatives may call on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
