Obituary of Dorothy C. Hardy

Dorothy C. Hardy, age 87, of Stratford passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, October 17, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Hardy. Born in Bridgeport on October 29, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Silvestri Faustine. Dorothy retired from SNET, where she worked for many years as a Customer Service Representative. Her greatest joy in life was caring and cooking for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving daughters, Clara Lucifora of Newtown, Concetta Fiasconaro of Bedford, NH, Diane Duhancik of Stratford and Donna Haggerty and her husband Daniel of Stratford, her eleven cherished grandchildren, James Hawley, Carmen Hawley, Gary Talarino, Jr., Karen Fiasconaro, Paul Fiasconaro, Danielle Day, Mark Fiasconaro, Allison Duhancik, John Ryan, Brenna Haggerty and Patrick Haggerty, her sisters, Clara Fabrizi of Huntington and Linda McKeon of Stratford. Other survivors include several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband, Carmen Lucifora, brothers, Joseph and Frank Faustine and sisters, Irene Benigno and Patricia Mata. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. directly in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
