Obituary of Donna M. Carrafiello

Donna M. Benlock Carrafiello, age 62, of Stratford, beloved wife of Brian Carrafiello, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Born in Bridgeport on January 21, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Emma Hissner Benlock. She was a lifelong Stratford resident, and a graduate of Stratford High School Class of 1972. Donna was a devoted parishioner of St. James Church in Stratford, CT. She always and willingly dedicated her time to the school and church functions, weather it was for the sports program, holiday fairs or any parish function, she was always there to lend a hand with a smile. She enjoyed watching her children's sporting events and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who will truly be missed by all who loved her. In addition to her loving husband of 42 years, Brian, survivors include two cherished children, Jason Carrafiello and his wife Jessica and Nichole Carrafiello and Jose DeJesus all of Stratford, three adored grandchildren, Caitlyn and Brian Carrafiello and Ava DeJesus, a sister Betty Carrafiello and a brother, Charles Benlock both of Stratford, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Donovan and a brother Michael Benlock. A Memorial Mass celebrating Donna's life will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, 2110 Main St., Stratford. At Donna's request there will be no calling hours. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
