Obituary of Christina D. Mastroni

After a lengthy illness the family of Christina D. Mastroni announces her passing on August 30. She died at home surrounded by family. She was 87 years old. A charitable woman with a strong faith, she lived a life of service. A caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, she was loved by all who knew her, and will be forever missed. The beloved wife of Nicholas Mastroni, they were married for almost 66 years. She was the devoted mother to Rosemary and Bob Smalberg, Nicholas and Gail Mastroni, Louis and Margaret Mastroni, Tina Mastroni, Nancy and John Pannese, and Carol and Ronald Webb. She was the adoring grandmother to James, Nicole and William Mastroni, Jenna, Jessica, and Alexa Pannese, and Riley Webb, all of whom gave her great joy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Louis and Rosalie DiBiaso, and sister, Mary Saulnier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
