Mom, Your passing has left a deep, deep hole in my heart - one that I know will take forever to heal. You were everything to me: the mother I never had, the shoulder to cry on when I desperately needed one, and most importantly, my best friend. You (and dad) helped to raise my son, Stephen into the kind, compassionate and remarkable young man he is today. I can't believe you have been in my life for 43 years! In that time you have given me a lifetime of memories and moments too valuable even to measure. Your wisdom and guidance throughout that time has seen me through many hardships and joys. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to share my journey with you. But you are now where you have wanted to be for such a long time - with dad, Paul, your family and friends. And I know you are looking down on me, Steve and Stephen with love and pride, knowing that you have left a lasting mark on each of us in your own special way. I will keep you with me in my heart always. And when I'm lonely, sad or in need of your hug or reassuring words, I'll remember how you taught me to be strong and stay positive. You once said to me that it's so much easier to be happy than it is to be sad. You lived by that code each and every day. I will never forget that! I love you, Mom!

Stevie, Sue and Stephen: Your mom was so treasured. She changed the course of my life. I will always remember staying over your house and seeing the plays at the Trumbull Playhouse. A lot of our childhood memories included going to the town pool, our dads drinking scotch together, and Aunt Paula always there for help and advice. She encouraged me to audition for a play choreographed by Mikki Durishin Williams. I really learned what real dancing was and learned so much. I enjoyed many more years of choreography and dance troops because of your Mom's encouragement. Your Mom was a great sister, mother,grandmother and to me, a very special aunt. She and Viola had such a special bond. I know my Mom couldn't wait to talk to her on Wednesday nights when they were older. Lately we discussed our favorite soap opera Days of Our Lives. But most of all she was such a smart, informed person and she was so interesting to talk with. She definitely left a mark on many people that she knew. She loved her family passionately and was so proud of you. I know she is in heaven now with Paul, Uncle Steve, her siblings and her parents. That makes me feel better. I know my Mom is smiling now up there to have her sister with her finally. God Bless You and remember we are here for you and feeling your pain as well.
