Obituary of Charles W. Ebert, Jr.

Charles W. "Bill" Ebert, Jr. age 91, of Trumbull entered eternal peace on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was the beloved husband of the late Linda Craig Ebert. Born in Hempstead, New York on April 27, 1925, he was the son of the late Charles William and Edna Martin Ebert. Mr. Ebert was a Corporal in the Marine Corp and an Iwo Jima survivor. He was a Purple Heart recipient sustained during battle at Iwo Jima. Prior to moving to Trumbull, Mr. Ebert lived for many years in Norwalk, Redding and Shelton. He was a top seller for Allstate Insurance Company, winning numerous awards. He had a vast knowledge and love of American antiques. He loved playing golf with his son and grandsons and enjoyed his Tuesday morning outings at Tashua Knolls with his family and friends. He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his son, Douglas Ebert and his wife Kathleen of Trumbull, his grandchildren, Katie Lynn and her husband Christopher, Daniel Ebert and his wife Allison, Dominick Ebert and his fiancée Alexa Lauretti, Kristina Ebert, Stephen Ebert, Jr., and Eric Ebert, two great grandchildren, Colton and Cassius Lynn. In addition to his wife of 65 years, Linda, he was also predeceased by his son Stephen Ebert. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment with full military honors will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
