7/21 Dear Mr. and Ms. Vargas and family, I was heartbroken to learn of Rafael's passing and wanted to extend my deepest sympathies on your irreplaceable loss. My memories of Rafael are only the brightest --daily laughter shared over two of his favorite shows, Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder; teases in Geometry and Algebra over my less-than-stellar capabilities in assisting him; occasionally bringing him coffee and always a jovial and sincere hello everyday. I felt the loss without Rafael in school all last year and had hoped there would be an opportunity for me and/or colleagues to visit him. But sadly that wasn't meant to be. I believe as an educator that we at Bridge have lost a wonderful human being and a potentially great student. And so much of that is attributable to Rafael's wonderful parents. I will keep his memory and his spirit close to my heart always. Steven Gaynes, Bridge Academy..
