Obituary of Frances A. Vincze

Frances A. Goodwin Vincze, age 79, beloved wife of Stephen W. Vincze of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Seattle, WA on January 22, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Capt. Charles Goodwin and Florence Agnes Holton Goodwin. Frances was an avid UCONN Girls Basketball fan and New York Yankee fan and above all Derek Jeter was her favorite player. In addition to her husband Stephen of 60 years, survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Iovane and her husband Patsy, a son, Gary Vincze and his wife MaryAnn Donovan, two granddaughters, Danielle Iovane & Joseph Giacobbe and Michelle Iovane and Joshua Belinski, three great grandsons, Nathan Belinski, Nicholas Belinski and Joseph Giacobbe, two sisters, Charlotte Birge and Beverly Gleason as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Gathering will take place on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
