Obituary of Eugene R. Boone Jr.

Eugene R. Boone Jr., age 78, of Stratford, beloved husband of Rosemary E. Walsh Boone, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 9, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late Eugene R. Sr. and Alice Van Ronk Boone. An HVAC contractor, Gene was the Head Estimator and Engineer at Environmental Temperature Systems, a company he helped start. He was a past commander of the Stamford Power Squadron was a member of the East End Yacht Club, past president of the OVTD and a member of Fun Seekers and Men's Club at Oronoque Village. But above all he was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who treasured every moment with his family, especially his grandchildren. The love and memories will forever live on in the hearts of his family. Gene will truly be missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his son Eugene R. Boone III, and two siblings. In addition to his beloved wife of 58 years, Rosemary, survivors include three loving daughters, Maureen, Nancy and Terri Boone, seven cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Lamber, Caitlin, Deidre and Meredith Kummer and Eugene R. IV, Michael and Ashley Boone. He also leaves to cherish his memory seven sisters, as well as many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law. Relatives and friends can greet the family at a memorial gathering celebrating Gene's life on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull from 12-4 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford.
