Obituary of Philippe L. Beaudoin

Phil was a caring husband for 51 years and a perfect role model for his five children. He gave each of them endless unconditional love and lived each day with integrity and full devotion to his faith, family, and his career. He was a kind, gentle man who loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends and hearing about their lives and accomplishments. He was a gifted musician who enjoyed serenading others with his electric organ, harmonica and wonderful singing voice. Mr. Beaudoin graduated from Saint Michael's College with a degree in Chemistry. He was a United States Navy veteran serving as a medic during the Korean War. Before his retirement, he was an Industrial Chemist with McKesson Labs and then King Industries. He was a longtime President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of McKesson Credit Union and a certified EMT who volunteered at the Huntington Ambulance for many years. He was an active parishioner of St. Lawrence Church where he was involved in the choir and the folk group. He was also a member of the St. Joseph Church Prayer Group. He is survived by his loving children, Mark Beaudoin and wife Pamela of Westport, CT, Mary Beth Detuzzi and husband Richard of Naugatuck, CT, Joseph Beaudoin and wife Jenny of Brick, NJ, James Beaudoin and wife Tammy of Lakeland, FL, and John Beaudoin and wife Loren of Shelton, CT. He leaves 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all of us. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton, CT, on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial.
