Obituary of Clementina Rua

Clementina Rua, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in Portugal on February 3, 1935 and spent much of her life as a long-term resident of Bridgeport. Clementina was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Jose Rua. Clementina is survived by her loving sons, Domingos Rua and wife Diane of Trumbull, Jose Rua and wife Nitza of Stratford, Alberto Rua and wife Laurinda of Fairfield, Jack Rua and wife Yvette Wilmot, and Fernando Rua of Monroe; along with seven grandchildren, Barbara Rua and husband Nicholas Busse, Aztin Sciuto and husband Brian, Stephanie Rua, Joey Rua, Sarah Wilmot Rua, Thomas Rua and Zachary Rua. Clementina worked for Bridgeport Fittings and Emson Research for many years before retiring. She spent her life working to provide for her family as best she could. Clementina loved her children and adored her grandchildren. She delighted in seeing her grandchildren and was sure to light up when they entered the room. She rejoiced at family gatherings, and enthusiastically chatted with everyone she met. She would never be the first to pull away from a good hug or embrace. She had a terrific sense of humor and always enjoyed a good laugh or story. Friends can greet the family on Sunday from 12-4 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. The funeral service and entombment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
