Obituary of Giulio Fiore

Giulio Fiore, age 85, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Concetta Porretta Fiore, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born on October 3, 1930 in Priverno, Latina, Italy he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Angela DeAngelis Fiore. Giulio was a retired Labor Foreman for Turner Construction and was a member of the Laborers International Union # 146 for many years. He was a member of the Circolo Sportivo Italian American Club and the former Marchegian Club. He would enjoy the many card games played there with his friends. Giulio was an avid gardener, enjoyed fishing and his traditional wine making for all to enjoy. But above all things he was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He valued the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. His memory and love will continue to live on in their hearts and he will truly be missed by all. In addition to his beloved wife of 53 years, Concetta, survivors include his loving son, Dominick Fiore and his wife Milena of Shelton, three cherished grandchildren, Gino, Paolo and Cristina; he also leaves to cherish his memory several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by two brothers, Antonio and Vincenzo Fiore, a sister, Rosa Fiore and a nephew Giuseppe Fiore. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
