Obituary of Ronaldo Santana Siqueira

Ronaldo Santana Siqueira, age 52, beloved father of Dustin M. Siqueira, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 5, 2016. Ron was born in Pirenopolis, GO, Brazil on April 2, 1964. A good man with a huge heart full of love and compassion, he would give you the shirt off of his back. Ron was a force to be reckoned with on the baseball field, always cheering loudly for his son, Dustin. The love and pride he had for his son was like no other. He adored and loved his step-children, Lea and Derek, as if they were his own. He made us smile often with his slightly off interpretations of the English language. One of his favorite things to do was to cook Brazilian style "pastels" for his son, step-son and their friends. The simple things in life brought him much joy. Ron is survived by his son, Dustin Siqueira, his former wife, Heidi Huminski of Trumbull, and step children, Lea and Derek Cervone, his family in Brazil; his sisters, Maria Aparecida Siqueira and Claudia Aparecida Siqueira and brother, Jairo Rosa Vinhal as well as his many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Jose Jair Siqueira and Donata Vinhal Siqueira, and a younger brother, Jair Siqueira. Friends can greet the family on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers and if desired, memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for his son or to assist with funeral expenses through the funeral home.
