Obituary of Mary Ann Hannan

Mary Ann Hannan, 86 of Trumbull, passed away peacefully at CT Hospice on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Hannan. Born in Bridgeport, CT on August 11, 1929, Mary was a lifelong area resident, living in Trumbull since 1955 where Mary and Ray raised their family. Mary (Chickie) is survived by son Mike Hannan and his wife Marty of Madison, AL, Pete Hannan of Milford, daughter-in-law Kelli Hannan of Shelton, John Hannan and his wife, Barbara, of Trumbull, and Anne Hannan of Stratford, and grandchildren, Heather, Ryan, Casey, Julie, Brian, Patrick and Susie Hannan, cousins Sister Kathleen Kelly and Tom Kelly, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary is predeceased by her parents Walter and Elizabeth Redmond and her twin brother, who died at birth. Mary loved helping all of us in any way she could. She jumped in whenever something was needed. She loved politics and spent many summers hosting inner city children through the Fresh Air Fund. She had a great sense of humor that was with her until the very end. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank all at CT Hospice in Branford for the wonderful care and respect provided to Mom. All services will be held at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull. Friends may call on the family on Friday, March 11 beginning at 11:30 am with services following at 12:30 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Mary would be honored to see any donations made to Connecticut Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
