Obituary of Philomena M. Culley

Philomena Petriello Culley, age 98, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Francis E. Culley, passed away at home on Thursday, January 21, 2016. Born in Bridgeport on July 8, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jane (Norton) Petriello. She was a graduate of the St. Vincent's School of Nursing and was a registered nurse for many years before retiring from the City of Bridgeport. She enjoyed volunteering her reading services at the area local schools. Survivors include her son, William P. Culley of Avon, a sister, Arline Dyer of Bridgeport, a sister-in-law, Carolyn Petriello of Trumbull as well as nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her daughter-in-law, Terri Culley and two brothers, John and Francis Petriello. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and relatives may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
