Obituary of Elvira C. Chicarelli

Elvira “Vera” C. Chicarelli, age 85, beloved wife of Thomas Chicarelli of Trumbull, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 25, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital with her family by her side. Born on October 14, 1930 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Cappuccini Bruno. Elvira shared a perfect partnership with her husband Tom and enjoyed nothing more than cooking and baking for her family, which she cherished more than anything. To Elvira, nothing was greater than the importance of family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her beloved husband Tom of 64 years, she is survived by her loving daughters, Debbie Chicarelli-Berke and her husband Craig of Port St. Lucie, FL, Kathleen Ramirez and her husband Felix of Bridgeport, Marianne Jasmin and her husband Ken of Milford and eight cherished grandchildren, Amanda and Tommy Chicarelli, Felicia, Felix and Nicholas Ramirez, Megan Rzasa, Alex and Morgan Jasmin, as well as several loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Elvira was predeceased by her son, Thomas A. Chicarelli, Jr, six sisters, Marianne Guglielmo and her husband Frank, Fanny Bossio and her husband Jack, Theresa Farina and her husband Mario, Helen Garber and her husband Art, Patty Schirillo and her husband Nick, Connie Sekelsky and her husband Joe and a brother, Rick Bruno and his wife Dolly. Friends are invited to meet directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave, Trumbull on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 2080 Silas Deane Highway, 2nd Floor, Rocky Hill, CT 06067, the American Heart Assoc., 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492, or to the MARFAN Foundation, 22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050.
