Obituary of Nancy L. Capasso

Nancy Lee Capasso, age 75, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Ralph J. Capasso Sr., passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2015 at her home with her loving sister and family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on February 28, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Olga Mazes Lee. Along with her late husband, she was the Co-owner of Valley Electric Supply in Ansonia. Upon her husband's death, she assumed the CEO position and guided the company for the next 15 years, before entering semi-retirement. Nancy was an investor, entrepreneur, business woman, and philanthropist, but her proudest and most meaningful achievements were as a wife and as a mother. She mastered the art of Italian cooking from her late mother-in-law, and took great pride in preparing special feasts throughout the year for her family, which she adored. She enjoyed crochet, decorating, crafts, gardening, and watching her TV, with QVC, CNBC, Fox News, Hallmark and the Yankee channels as her staples. When not in Connecticut, she enjoyed spending time at her New Jersey beach home with her sister, family and friends. Survivors include her four loving children, Lori-Ann Fickie and her husband Kenneth of Ashland, MA, Frank P. Capasso and his wife Elizabeth of Monroe, Mary-Ellen Mancini and her husband Max of Clinton Township, MI and Ralph J. Capasso Jr. of Shelton, seven cherished grandchildren, Katie, Tyler and Carly Capasso, Carrie-Ann Stuart, Mark Stuart, Max Mancini and Tiffany Capasso; her loving sister, Elsa Menillo of Bridgeport, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 directly at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 pm. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital, 350 Seymour Ave, Derby, CT 06418
