Obituary of Mary Ann Liquigli

Mary Ann LaPiccirella Liquigli, age 74, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Liquigli, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on April 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Sciarappa LaPiccirella. Mary Ann was a talented caterer and chef and worked for many local restaurants before her retirement. Of all her careers in life she took great pride and joy in her position as nanny, helping to raise many children as if they were her own. She was very proud of all of them, especially Ashley, Tim, and John. She enjoyed traveling and was a very outgoing person who would do anything for someone in need. Mary Ann will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her five loving children, Mary Jo Rizzo and her husband, Adam, of Cheshire, Bart Liquigli and his wife, Clorinda, of Trumbull, Anne Marie Maini and her husband, Ben, of Monroe, Gina Gallo and her husband, Tim, of Trumbull and Joey Anne Liquigli of Bridgeport; her nine cherished and loving grandchildren Kyle and Brandon Rizzo, Joey, Nicky and Sara Maini, Ava and James Gallo and Joseph and Andrew Liquigli, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Alfred LaPiccirella. The family would like to thank the many caregivers who took care of Mary Ann in her time of need, especially Liz, Leticia, and all the MICU nurses at Bridgeport Hospital. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull, for a Mass of Christian Burial.
