Well, Momma Lee, I think we did your Celebration of Life proud. We extended warm embraces (as you would have wanted) to all those family and friends who could get into Trumbull on Friday, December 4th. And although there were some tears, for the most part, everyone smiled broadly as they recounted their many personal memories of time spent with you. Everyone who knew you, loved you for your selfless nature, your abundant kindnesses, your giving and encouraging spirit, and your unbridled sense of light and joy about all things and all people. We will miss your physical presence but we also know that you are accessible in our thoughts and prayers and are now in a place where you will be "watching out" in your ever-caring Momma Lee manner for all your family and friends. We enjoyed sharing this weekend with you! Your loving son, Jim

We have been remembering Lena with happiness. Vic remembers the very beginnings 70 years ago, the happy times over the back fence at Randall Avenue, and how this continued to the joyful reunions on Palm Street. Bobbi remembers Lena for her love and compassion and the postivity she brought to our family. Lena lived a remarkable, remarable life and we are happy to celebrate it. I am so sorry for your loss. Mothers are very special People. And Lee Maher was the best of them. While living in Boston, we often spend weekends in Trumbull with Phyllis and my brother Jack. I admired her spunk and loving and caring that she showered on all. She always made me feel "just part of the family". She will be dearly missed. But she is in Heaven with Jim singing "Alleluia, Praise the Lord".

Dear Maher Family, My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. MaMa Lee influenced me by her zest for life, her story telling, her laughter, her way of looking at the bright side of people and situations in life. Memories of Christmas's gone by at the Maher home in Trumbull will be cherished. The joyous activity, aromas of pots brewing, and laughter embraced anyone who entered the door...And yes, a touch of 'Moonstruck'! Watch out Michael! You better behave! Your Mother is with you now!
