Obituary of Dorothy M. Otto

Dorothy Boss Otto, age 86, of Newtown, beloved wife of the late Urson "Chap" Otto, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in Danbury Hospital. Born in Hinsdale, Illinois on August 6, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Rose Boss. She was a resident of Trumbull before moving to Newtown in 1972. Along with her husband, Chap, they founded Stepney Hardware in 1960, which is still family owned and operated. She enjoyed gardening and had a love for music and cooking. Her greatest joy was found in the time she spent with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include two sons, Michael Otto and his wife Maureen of New Milford and David Otto and his wife Sherry of Shelton, her sister, Marilyn Boss of Reno, NV, her granddaughter, Cheryl Otto of Tampa, FL and two great grandchildren, Emily and Michael. Friends can greet the family on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 3-6 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will take place on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
