Obituary of Joyce A. Pinto

Joyce A. Jacobson Pinto, age 84, of Stratford passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Anthony Pinto. Born in Boston, MA on November 14, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Vivian Scribner Jacobson. Joyce worked for St. Vincent's Medical Center as a medical technician before her retirement with 48 years of dedicated service. She loved to paint and also loved photography however, her greatest pleasure was found spending time with her family or tending to her gardens. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her beloved husband Anthony of 59 years, other survivors include her loving children, Francis Pinto and his wife Kimberley Ray of Burlington, Mark Pinto of Stratford, Leslye Mitchell and her husband Richard of Ansonia and Marie Bach of Middleboro, MA, her seven cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Elizabeth and Nicholas Pinto, and Richard Jr, Katherine and Michael Mitchell, two adored great grandchildren, Kailey and Zoey Mitchell. She was predeceased by her sister, Lorris Heidke. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
