Obituary of Marie M. Herdt

Marie M. Stefano Herdt, age 93, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Arthur Herdt, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 with her son by her side at Lord Chamberlain in Stratford. Born in Dickson City, PA on December 2, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Angela Gogolski Stefano. Before her retirement, Marie was a waitress for over 35 years at the Bridgeport Flyer Diner until its closing. Survivors include her loving son, Terrence Smith and his wife Lynn of Stratford, three cherished grandchildren, Alexis Gulas and her husband Joe, Alicia Smith and Elizabeth Smith and her fiancé Ross Perry, a niece, Patricia Rayner and her husband John and a nephew, Leslie Kovacs. She was predeceased by a son, Gregory Smith and 8 brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank the staff of the fourth floor at Lord Chamberlain for all their loving care and compassion. Friends can greet the family on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 4:00 -7:30 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull followed by a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
