Obituary of Domenica Dellamarggio

Domenica (Mamie) Fabrizi Dellamarggio, age 80, of Stratford and formerly of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Gennaro (James) Dellamarggio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at her home. Born in Bridgeport on May 18, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Armand and Lucia Faustine Fabrizi. She was a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft, and along with her siblings, was an employee of the former Ann's Newfield Bakery. Mamie was an outgoing and caring person, whose door was open to everyone. Whether it was for a cup of coffee or just to sit and visit, she always loved the company. But above all else, she was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cared for her family deeply. Her family values and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by a son, Anthony J. Dellamarggio, brothers, Raymond, Armand and Angelo Fabrizi, and sisters, Frances Mastrone, Assunta Bottone and Gloria Brennan. Survivors include her loving children, Lucille Dellamarggio of Stratford, Donna Dellamarggio and her husband Keith Sirico of Derby, and Mark Dellamarggio of Stratford, nine cherished grandchildren, Mario Dellamarggio, Petty Officer Third Class Salvatore Accetullo, U.S. Navy, Sgt. Christopher Accetullo, USMC and his wife Mia, Juliana Dellamarggio, Enrique Rivas-Castillo, Gianna Dellamarggio, Alexandria and Victoria Sirico and Paige Carroll; two adored great grandchildren, Adrianna and Christopher Jr. She also leaves to cherish her memory a sister-in-law, Judy Fabrizi of Stratford, a brother-in-law Thomas Dellamarggio of Fairfield, as well as many nieces and nephews, who Mamie loved dearly. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
