Hello Family, I'm so sorry to hear of Lyle's passing. I met him at Sikorsky when I temped there and he was the kindest man with a great sense of humor. (Not to mention wifey's beef brisket was THE BEST :)) Well, one day while waiting in line with my children at Waltersville Elementary School for Santa to give them a gift and speak to them I discovered the jolly and sweet Santa was none other than Lyle! Well that did it, he became cooler than ever in my eyes and I'm so sad to know he's no longer with us to give out such joy. He will be missed and my prayers are with you all to be comforted by the memory of such a wonderful person.

Lyle and I worked together as Sikorsky for approximately 8 years. He was one of the most calm, level-headed and polite persons that I knew there. I know that others feel the same way. He was truly a man of integrity something that is rare in this day and age.
May God's grace sustain you and the entire Moran family during this time of loss. May the love that Lyle had for his family, friends and life be a reminder of his place in the heaven where he is suffering no more.
Grace and Peace be with you,
Renita Morriar-Adams

Carmine and I are so saddened by the news of the loss of such of great man. Although we left Connecticut many years ago, we have such fond memories of spending time together with Leah and Lyle, especially camping. Lyle always kept the most perfect campsite, and the only person we ever knew to make a sidewalk to his tent with rocks and keep his site swept and looking perfect. He always had a welcoming smile and big, strong hugs.
Leah, we miss you dearly and wish we could be there to give you a big strong hug right now. Please know that you are in our hearts and prayers. We love you!

Dear Leah, Fallon, and Josh,
It is so hard to lose someone you hold so dear. It helps to remember the tender moments and the fun times. I'll remember Lyle inviting me over during the hurricane. He cooked on the grill and after dinner we played Sequence and Parcheesi by his "as seen on TV" lantern. He even recharged my cell phone. Lyle told me life was best when his family was gathered around. Let's pray he rejoins family members gone before him and finds the peace he richly deserves
Love,
Mary Ann

The passing of a courageous warrior in Lyle Moran has perpetuated a gentle and comforting breeze of everything that is good in the world cast over all those who knew him and loved him. Lyle had a passion to put all his creative juices into whatever he set his mind to with positive infectious results.
Having the privilege to be his supervisor for a short time I watched a wonderful human being strive to make a positive impact to each and every person he interacted with at Sikorsky every moment and every day he worked there. He put every person he was there to support before himself.
I found Lyle to be a joy to work with and a person with a incredible sense of humor even with cancer growing inside him. Every morning we would meet with the team to discuss our achievements from the day before, our challenges and our plans for the new day in front of us. Lyle seemed to cherish the time together as a team helping each other out no matter what the they were. What was important to him was the relationships he had with his peers and the loyalty to each other with the opportunity do something positive each day he had.
The one memory I cherish the most of Lyle was the incredible giving from his heart when he and G organized a car wash in support of the United Way efforts by Sikorsky. The time and effort he put in to make that event A+ was commendable. The beauty of the memory is the simple fact of him giving of his time to help others in need.
I am sorry I cannot be in attendance for his service but I am grateful to be able to offer my condolences for the loss of a great warrior (and Eagles fan). Lyle Moran taught all of us how to be that warrior in the face of the ultimate challenge. He never once gave up hope. I will never forget his courageous fight.
May perpetual light shine upon you forever Lyle.

Josh,
I was taken aback to hear of your father. I remember him as not just a good man, but also as a pioneer of the man-cave; having outfitted his basement as a temple of testosterone and a tribute to the comic books he (we all) loved. He did this, of course, before the term man-cave ever came into vogue. May you find comfort in memories of the good times you've shared.
Kathy,
May you find solace in knowing that Lyle lives on through Josh, who certainly has not fallen far from the tree. Motorcycles, comic books, tattoos, and (by all accounts) a commitment to fatherhood.
I send my best wishes to Leah and the rest of the family as well; along with my regrets for not being able to attend services (as I'm no longer on the East Coast).

I met Lyle for the first time in the hospital room when our first grandchild was born to his son and my daughter. He was very quiet and soft spoken, but he knew just what to say and when. Always had smile on his face the whole 10 years I have known him. He was a sweet, caring man and I feel privileged to have had the pleasure of knowing him. I just wish it was for a longer period of time. RIP LYLE. You will be truly missed!!
