Obituary of Francis J. Halpin

U. S. Army Veteran Francis (Frank) J. Halpin, age 82, of Southbury and formerly of Trumbull, died on Friday, December 05, 2008. Born in Bridgeport on July 21, 1926, he was a son of the late Frank and Margaret Hassett Halpin. A U.S. Army veteran, Frank was employed by Moore Special Tool with over 35 years of service. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Peggy Norton Halpin and a sister, Eleanor Halpin Smith. Survivors include his devoted daughter Cindy Istvan and her husband Richard of Trumbull, his cherished granddaughter Katie, niece Mary Ellen Sanford and her husband Hank of Redding, nephew, Rick Smith and his wife Joanne of Wilton as well as several additional nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a cousin, Anthony Mannion and his wife Mary of Bethel. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by his cousin, Msgr. John Gilmartin. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
