I remember fondly Fr. DeMarco as a spiritual man who would visit my CCD class on Sunday mornings at St. Catherine's. When I made my Cursillo weekend I enjoyed talking with him about my experience and when I saw him I would use the universal greeting DeColores! The entire Romano family from St. Catherine's remember him as a holy man who loved his vocation as a priest. May he rest in peace.

Dear Lucille and family:
Father Pete was the quintessential Catholic priest, always respected and admired for his counsel, good sense of humor, and certainly his many almost insurmountable accomplishments. We enjoyed many conversations about family and philosophies. He was warm, caring and loving in all ways, and non-judgmental. I will always remember his kindness and presence at family gatherings and, of course, reunions. While my Dad, Leonard Verrilli lived a wonderful rretirement and lived to almost 96, Father Pete was consistent in his visits and "shoring up" Dad's spiritual beliefs. He will be remembered with love, always.
God bless!
Love, Cousin Janet & husband, Wesley Wheeler

RIP Fr. Demarco,
I served many masses as an alter boy for Fr. DeMarco.
I also remember Fr. saying mass in the home of my Grandparents and Aunt Carmella, when my Grandmother was too sick to go out to mass.

Dear DeMarco Family,
We are so saddened to hear of Fr. DeMarco's passing. He was a good man & a great priest & a dear friend of the Barcello family. He had an attitude of doing whatever was necessary to hold a parish together. Including coaching girls' basketball when it was in its infancy beginning in the mid 1960's.
He also came to our rescue & married us in August of 1975, when the priest who was scheduled to perform the marriage became ill.
He will be remembered with fondness & tenderness.
Love,
Clare & Nick Evento (Barcello)

It was always a pleasure to see him and I enjoyed our many talks throughout the years. What a kind and gentle soul. He will be missed. God grant Father Peter eternal rest.

I am so sorry for your loss. Father DeMarco was one of my favorite people and always will be. He taught my mom and me about faith, love, compassion and the ability to see those things that are causing us pain in a different light. In other words he taught us about perception and I will always be grateful to him for that. It is a tenant that I live by that everything is a matter of perception. I will miss him greatly but I also know that he is in a very peaceful and loving place now.

Dear family members of Father DeMarco -- I was so sorry to hear of the passing of this great priest and man. He married my husband and myself and he baptized our son, both at St. Theresa's in Trumbull. He has been a friend to our family for many years -- we both made our Cursillos when he was active in the movement and we both loved him very dearly. May God rest his soul -- there is no doubt in my mind he is with his heavenly Father and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ this day. He touched many lives and was truly a grace-filled spirit. One just had to be in his presence for a short time to absolutely feel his holiness. My sincere condolences and prayers are with you all.
