Obituary of Antonio Roben

Antonio Roben, age 85, of Milford, beloved husband of Leticia Santana Roben, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Manta, Ecuador on February 24, 1930, he was a son of the late Heinrich Anton Roben and Maria Pilar Alvia. Antonio was a retired welder for DRS Technologies in Bridgeport with over 40 years of dedicated service. He was a simple man who enjoyed watching soccer and loved to work on cars. But above all he was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who treasured the time spent with his family. His love, dedication and family values will continue to live on through his family. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife of 59 years, Leticia, survivors include three loving children, Julio Roben and his wife Elaine of Shelton, Enrique Roben and his wife Robin of Milford and Damiana Wheeler and her husband Edward of Milford, five cherished grandchildren, Shawn Roben and his wife Eileen, Brenden Roben, Michael Wheeler, Alexandrea Roben and Damiana Roben; two adored great grandchildren, Ariana and Tiernan. He also leaves to cherish his memory six brothers and sisters, Hildegar Jalhk of Ecuador, Jorge Roben and his wife Mercedes of NY, Chano Roben and his wife Laddy of AZ, Germania Visone and her husband Angelo, Gustavo Roben and Imgar Montanino and her husband Filipe, all of NY, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Bilo Roben. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in the Cathedral of St. Augustine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial.
