Obituary of Theresa M. Hanlon

Theresa M. Costa Hanlon, age 81, of Trumbull entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 8 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Born in Bridgeport on December 28, 1933 to the late Joseph and Filomena Muzone Costa, she was the beloved wife of the late James F. Hanlon, Sr. Terry graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport and worked in several positions as a bank teller, secretary and receptionist before retirement. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, baking, decorating and entertaining family and friends. She was especially proud of her cherished grandchildren and elated at the arrival of her great-grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, James Hanlon (Patti) of Oxford and Joseph Hanlon (Jennifer) of Trumbull, a daughter, Janice Marschall (Brian) of Shelton, six grandchildren, James Hanlon (Amy) of Southbury, Kara Bouchard (David) of Oxford, Jacqueline and Kelsey Marschall of Shelton and Sarah and Kyle Hanlon of Trumbull, three great grandchildren, Sophia and Evan Bouchard and Andrew Hanlon, a brother, Paul Costa of Trumbull, sisters-in-law, Dora Costa and Louise Hanlon, both of Trumbull and many cherished nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Rose Salvaggio and Ann Palmieri, a brother, Frank Costa, brothers-in-law, Steve Salvaggio, Augustine Palmieri and Charles Hanlon and sister-in-law, Marion Hanlon. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
