Obituary of Jose Amado Frazao

Jose Amado Frazao, age 91, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Encarnacao Fragoso Frazao, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday with his devoted family by his side. Born on January 20, 1924 in Porto de Mos, Lagos, Portugal he was a son of the late Manuel Frazao and Maria Martins. Jose came to the United States with his family in 1967 and settled in Bridgeport. He was a retired employee of Handy and Harmon with over 17 years of dedicated service. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. In addition to his beloved wife of 63 years, Encarnacao, survivors include three loving children, Maria F. DeSousa and her husband Severino of Trumbull, Arlindo Frazao and his wife Regina of Trumbull and Alzira Gray and her husband Sam of Bridgeport, seven cherished grandchildren, Rui Braz and his wife Carminda, Christopher Frazao, Mathew Frazao, Brian Frazao and his wife Kelly, Diane DeSousa, Jessica Mota and Joshua Gray, an adored great granddaughter, Kaitlin Braz, a sister, Maria Amado of Portugal, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Manuel Amado and Tony Frazao and a sister Carolina Frazao. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
