Obituary of Sylvia N. Yachymczyk

Sylvia Yanzo Yachymczyk, age 78, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Thomas Yachymczyk, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 3, 2015. Born in Bridgeport on February 8, 1937, she was a daughter of the late John and Blanche Kulas Yanzo. Before her retirement she worked as an emergency room registrar at Bridgeport Hospital for over 20 years. Sylvia enjoyed spending time with her family and most especially with her grandson Matt. She valued the friendship and the comradery she developed over her years at the Bishop Curtis Homes. Survivors include a son, Thomas Yachymczyk and a daughter, Donna Markow both of Bridgeport, two grandsons, Peter Yachymczyk of Trumbull and Matthew Markow of Bridgeport, a sister, Dolly DiCarlo of Trumbull, a brother, Charles Yanzo of Methuen, MA two sisters-in-law, Carole Yachymczyk of Huntington and Marie Yachymczyk of Bridgeport and a brother-in-law, Joseph Yachymczyk as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, John Yanzo Jr. and Richard Yanzo A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
