Obituary of Alice E. Muriano

Alice E. DiDomizio Muriano, 87, died peacefully on Friday April 3, 2015. The daughter of the late Stephen and Maria Ciccone DiDomizio, Alice was born in Bridgeport on August 9, 1927 alongside her twin sister Anna. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Muriano. Alice dedicated her life to her family and adored her two granddaughters. She was employed by U.S. Surgical Corporation in Norwalk until her retirement, when she cared for her husband full-time. An accomplished golfer and wonderful cook, Alice especially enjoyed the thrill of winning at Foxwoods Casino. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sally Laczkoski and her husband Jeffrey of Shelton, and two beloved granddaughters, Jaime and Michelle Laczkoski, both of Boston. Alice will be dearly missed by her twin sister, Anna Barker of Vero Beach, FL, sister, Dolores Scalzo of Syracuse, NY as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Genevieve Contolini and five brothers, Albert, Gabriel, Dominic, Alfred and George DiDomizio. Alice's family would like to thank the staff of Benchmark at Split Rock for their friendship, love and care during the last months of her life. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
