Obituary of Frances H. Lewis

Frances Herthum Lewis, age 88, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late George H. Lewis, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2015. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on December 6, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Jessica Stella Herthum. Frances worked at Exxon Corp. as a young woman, where her late husband worked as a chemical engineer. Survivors include four children, Leesa Heath and her husband Stephen of West Hartford, Lori Lewis of Hawaii, Lance Lewis and his partner David Dunn of Richmond, CA and George Lane Lewis and his wife Saradha Boopathi of New York City, two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Lewis of Jacksonville, FL and Vera Herthum of Baton Rouge, LA, three grandchildren, Erin Heath Miller, her husband Joe Miller and their daughter Lilly of Somerville, MA, Kristin Heath Clarkson, her husband Chris Clarkson and their son Liam, of Geneva, Switzerland, and Michael Lewis, of New York City, nieces and nephews, Mary Claire Major of Baton Rouge, LA, Louis Whitney Herthum of Santa Monica, CA, Scott Lewis and his wife Billie Goldstein of Pembroke Pines, FL and Leslie and Rick Kirkwood and their children, Sarah and Jason Kirkwood, all of Jacksonville, FL. All services were private and burial took place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
